With Summer just around the corner, there are many things to do with the warmer weather on its way. Here at Lending Language Lab, we love all the activities that can be done during summer. One of our favorites is going to the beach and taking a nice cool dip in the ocean. We also love going out on picnics in the park and eating packed lunches together. Let’s look at vocabulary or phrases you can use to help you practice your English skills on topics about summer.

  • Lemonade🍋 this cool and tart drink is a favorite for many when it’s hot and sunny out. There are many different types of lemonade, personally, we love strawberry lemonade!
  • Going camping 🏕️this is a fun activity many do when the weather is clear and sunny out. Although, watch out for wild animals! Make sure you check out a survival book for tips and tricks for camping!
  • Fireflies 🔥 pretty little bugs that are able to light up at nighttime! They can be found in many different places around the world, but generally come out in the early stages of summer!
  • Kite surfing 🪁 This is an interesting activity to be done at the beach. Using a giant kite and a board attached, you can surf the water with the power of the wind! Have you ever tried it? It seems like a lot of fun to us here at LLL.
  • Swimsuit 🩱 a must-have for anyone planning to go for a swim in the hot weather! Make sure you wear colors that are visible beneath the water in case you run into trouble swimming.

We hope you all enter the summer season and discover more unique vocabulary you can use to flex your English skills!

Do you all enjoy going to the beach? Are there other activities you like to do in summer?  Comment down below! Thanks for joining us on this week’s blog post! Look out 👀 next week for an exciting grammar activity about the English language!
